Best Dog Warning Sign

Posted on October 5, 2013October 6, 2013 by Rob Spera

This is the best dog warning sign I have ever seen. Ironically, the only dog that ever bit me in over 36,000 miles of cycling lived one street over from this sign. Many other dogs have tried and failed. Over the years, I have found that that the top speed of most dogs is around 22 mph. So my strategy to avoid being bitten is to use the adrenaline rush from being chased by a pursuing canine is to quickly accelerate to 25 mph. Most dogs give up at 22 mph. However, I have never raced a Greyhound. The problem with the dog who bit me was that I was sure if I approached the house where he lived, I would have been met at the front door with a shotgun. Fortunately, a vampire bat bit me in Transylvania years ago so I had already built up an immunity to rabies.
