The patellar tendinitis in my right knee flared up last night. The tour group consists of ultra thin Uber athletes and then me. They all took off like they were shot out of a canon and I felt a lot of pressure to not get too far behind so rode beyond my comfort level which is why I struggled to finish yesterday. Today is a hike that climbs 4000 feet in 5 miles. I never would have been able to keep up with them which I would have had to so we could stay in a pack because of bears. So decided to rest today since tomorrow is Beartooth Pass with 8000 feet of climbing, 6300 feet in the first 25 miles. I will try to cycle gently today and treat the knee with ice, heat, and advil should be ready to go tomorrow.
Oh, Robby, please don’t push yourself. Hugs, Bonnie
Thanks Bonnie. Don’t worry, I am going to have a very honest discussion with tour leaders as soon as I see them again.
