Wash and Recovery Day

Posted on August 20, 2014September 12, 2014 by Rob Spera

IMG_20140820_114442581_HDRWashed clothes in sink today and hung up to dry. The rest of the group went hiking today, but I was too sore and tired from yesterday to go, I just needed a rest day. Organizing, washing and drying cycling and street clothes in a sink by hand takes time. The key is to have just a 3 day supply. Each night you wash by hand,  then by the 4th day,  the clothes from the first day are dry and ready to wear again. This means of course, that all clothes are synthetic, moisture wicking and dry quickly, no cotton or denim. May not matter much. Next 2 days are forecast for upper 40s and 90% chance of rain. So we are going to get wet and cold anyways.  I am laying out my cold weather and rain gear now. There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.
