Spring is arriving in Florida. The tiny green buds on the sycamore tree in my backyard are starting to sprout into tiny leaves. Soon the leaves will be four to six inches across. Watching the tiny green buds turn into full grown leaves is fascinating. Most folks usually just see trees turn from barren limbs into trees with full leaves. Watching the process of the tiny leaves slowly sprouting from small green buds into full grown leaves by absorbing the energy from the sun and extracting CO2 from the atmosphere is simply fascinating. Nature is both beautiful and astounding!
