From the “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up Department” – Pig Races at the Colorado BBQ Challenge in Frisco. I thought Pig #2 was going to win, but down the homestretch he pulled a ham string and Pig #1 beat him by a snout. I am fearful the slow pig #4 who finished last is will be turned into bacon.

In horse racing, the winner get put out to stud for 15 years. The loser gets turned into glue. I’ve always wondered if the horses knew that while they are racing. There is an old NASCAR saying, “Second place is the first loser.”

Right after the race, I ate a barbecue pork sandwich. I felt kind of bad about that. As you can see, I am spending my retirement engaged in high quality activities.
