Completely adapted to the RV now, Mountain Lioness and Paso Robles are both very content and comfortable in their coach. Staking out and claiming their own special place in the coach, each now has their regular spot. ML prefers the drivers seat, while PR likes being in the cab over the bunk looking out the window on the port side. While they are not right next to other, they both are nearly in the same part of the rig, PR four feet above ML.
Settling into a routine, the cats’ day is quite similar to the one they have at home. In the morning, their canned food is the big excitement. They have grown accustomed to their feeding spots since each have their own food. The morning feeding is followed by their high energy state, manically running around the coach repeatedly from front to back to front. This part of their day is a little more difficult for them than at home because of the confined space. They bounce off a lot of surfaces, including me, until they calm down after 15 – 20 minutes. After calming down somewhat, they stare out the windows for hours, often rushing from window to window in an excited state as the creatures they are watching move around. They both love to focus their eyes on the imaginary prey, their bodies, ears, and tails twitching. I suppose the prey is not imaginary if they were to get out of the RV, but neither seems interested or has tried to escape the coach. The are both very instinctive hunters, more interested in the birds and critters outside than any of the previous cats that lived with me. They spend hours watching the birds and animals outside just like home. Then they do the same thing all afternoon that they do at home, sleep.
Managing to get on every ledge, in every cabinet, and exploring all the storage locations, the cats have been in every nook and cranny in the rig. They are both quite nimble and agile. While I am writing these posts, one of the cats is almost always sitting by my side in the little cat bed seen in the first photo.
Having ML and PR along on these trips is wonderful. I mostly bought this contraption so they could come along with me on these travels. Very few places will rent to you with animals, especially cats. Also traveling to strange places with cats would be stressful for them. With the coach, the cats are in a safe familiar place. After a week here, the cats seem completely relaxed and comfortable. I think they will be fine on longer trips.
glad it’s working out for you & ML & PR

They had a great art festival today in Cedar Key, tomorrow too, just happened to be here for it. Yes, so glad ML and PR are doing well in the coach, took a lot of thought and planning to get them acclimated to the coach, and its all turned out really well.
